ITV Trigger Point viewers share same response after dramatic end to second series
manchestereveningnews.co.ukFor those who resisted binge-watching the entire series, Trigger Point came to a dramatic end on Sunday night (March 3). Back in January, the drama made a welcomed return to screens with actress Vicky McClure back as bomb disposal officer Lana Washington.
A former Afghanistan soldier, Lana works for the Metropolitan Police putting a stop to terror threats across the capital. It was revealed at the start of the new series that Lana, who'd faced the death of her brother, Billy, in horrifying fashion in series one, was back with the EXPO team after months away.
She returned from a secondment in Estonia, where she was training Ukrainian bomb disposal teams and was soon back in action when a bomb was detonated in the heart of London before she and the Met Police faced more terrifying attacks by the terror group who had not only claimed the life of several people but also her on/off lover DCI Thom Youngblood. Unbeknownst to them, Lana was one step ahead and while bundled into a fake cleaning van, she managed to swap the sim card in the phone that would trigger the explosive.
