ITV The Masked Singer viewers 'work out' that Emmerdale icon is Dippy Egg

Fans of ITV's The Masked Singer are throughly enjoying more crazy costumes, shock celebrity cameos and lively banter between judges Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross in series five, which kicked off on Saturday, 30 December.

Sadly, Grammy Award-winning singer Dionne Warwick was the first celebrity to be voted off after host Joel Dommett revealed she was Weather.The Soul legend - who at 85 was also one of the show's oldest ever contestants - didn't seem to be surprised at the turn of events, though.

She admitted, "They said I’d be here for this many weeks, and I said, ‘No I’m not. I can’t disguise my voice.The minute I open my mouth, I’m gone!" As for the remaining five hopefuls (which include the hilariously named Chicken Caesar, Bubble Tea, Eiffel Tower and Air Fryer) viewers have, as ever, been offering up their own wacky theories on who is 'behind the mask'.

In one case, quite a few fans seem to be thinking the same thing - that the zany character Dippy Egg could well be ex-Emmerdale legend, Kelvin Fletcher.
