ITV presenter Susanna Reid has announced her departure from Good Morning Britain as she said "bye" in a statement during Wednesday's instalment.
The star is heading off on an extended break from fronting the breakfast show for the summer.It is likely that her co-stars Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway, who present on Thursdays and Fridays, will step into the hot seat during her absence.
Other stand ins could be Ranvir Singh, who often covers on the ITV daytime show as well, as well as Charlotte Hawkins.During Wednesday's show, Susanna said: "Good Morning Britain back tomorrow at 6am." She added, while waving: "I am saying goodbye now!" She then added: "It's time for Lorraine!"The 52-year-old presenter and journalist last enjoyed a week off from the ITV studios earlier this year back in March.On Twitter on Tuesday, Susanna announced she would be co-hosting with Martin Lewis. "TOMORROW @gmb Wallet Wednesday with @MartinSLewis the voice of reason during this cost of living crisis.
