Coleen Nolan has opened up on her “empty nest” syndrome as she admitted she’s feeling “redundant”. The mum-of-three told fans about her recent experiences of motherhood and said it was “scary” at times to feel that she’s not needed by her children in the same way she used to be.
Loose Women star Coleen, 58, shared her open and honest account in an interview with new! magazine as she said: “Empty nest is a real thing, who knew."She added: "When the children were younger I thought I'd be thrilled when they became independent.
But it's the opposite, I've been feeling so redundant, like I don't have a purpose anymore."I've realised as their mum they'll always need me one way or another.
Now it's time to concentrate on me it's like a new lease of life. I've so much I still want to do. It's been scary at times but I've turned that into excitement.
