Speaking out about the loss of a baby can be a painful experience. So when Coleen Rooney candidly revealed for the first time in her new autobiography that she suffered a miscarriage before welcoming her eldest child, Kai, she was met with empathy.
She described the ordeal as a “horrible experience” that left her and husband Wayne “heartbroken”. And a source has told OK!
that reliving the trauma has been upsetting for the couple. “The miscarriage was very difficult for Coleen to talk about and is something she and Wayne kept very, very private,” said the source. “This has been really tough for them both.” In her memoir, My Account, Coleen reveals how the end of her first pregnancy at just 10 weeks “knocked Wayne for six, too”.The couple are now parents to four boys – Kai, 14, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five.
But despite the joy her sons bring her, the anguish she experienced all those years ago is still with her. “It was so painful.
