Maura Higgins has broken her silence on her I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here stint as she was seen being reunited with rumoured love interest Pete Wicks.

The former Love Island finalist was a latecomer to the camp during this year's run of the ITV reality show alongside Reveren Richard Coles.

The pair soon settled in and their quickly-formed close bond made them popular among I'm A Celeb viewers. Maura was also tipped to win the much-loved programme but towards the end of the series, after missing out on bagging immunity in a new show twist, Maura found herself with the fewest votes from the public alongside fellow Irish star Barry McGuigan and they left in sixth and fifth place respectively. Alongside a string of pictures, which featured her time in the jungle as well as out of it with her co-stars, she said: "If you ask me about my time in the jungle I’ll say it was so much fun, but if you ask me on a deeper level I’ll say it was the best 3 weeks of my life, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. "I was so lucky to have met my incredible campmates who are all now my friends for life, and I couldn’t have done it without each and every one of them.
