Jane Moore, bound by camp duty, remarked, "I can't do it on my own." Alan witnessed Jane set off solo and nudged Dean awake to lend a hand.
Met with a foggy-headed and irate Dean, who responded minimally to Alan's ask: "You don't fancy it? No?" reports the Manchester Evening News.
With little reaction from BBC Radio 1 host Dean, Coronation Street's Alan joined Jane fetching firewood to prevent her from being single-handed.
