Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid and co-host Richard Madeley sent a message to their colleague live on air after he was rushed to hospital at the weekend for emergency surgery.
Chief correspondent Richard Gaisford contracted an infection, as writes the Mirror, which led to him needing urgent treatment.
The ITV worker shared an image of himself lying in a hospital bed as he opened up on his sudden health scare on Sunday. He also praised the NHS staff as he thanked NHS staff for their care.
On Monday's GMB show, Susanna and Richard touched on the news live on air as they sent their best wishes.Susanna told him and viewers she was sending Richard "our very best wishes" and hoped he'd have a "swift recovery", as she also thanked the NHS staff who helped him.
