Kate Garraway said she was left 'crumpled' after she was told by a Good Morning Britain guest that she 'smells'. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Wednesday (February 22) alongside Ed Balls as she stepped in for Susanna Reid.

Kate is often seen hosting the show at the end of the week but following the half-term break, Susanna headed to Kyiv to report live from the Ukrainian city as a year approaches since Russia's invasion began.

She spent Monday and Tuesday hosting from the Ukraine capital before returning to the UK. But as she made her way back, Kate and Ed kept GMB on the air in her absence and were joined on the latest show by disaster search and rescue volunteers Neil Woodmansey, Ashley Hildred and Mark Dungworth.

The hosts interviewed the trio of firefighters about travelling to Turkey to help those affected by the devastating earthquake earlier this month.
