Good Morning Britain viewers found themselves struggling to hold back tears during an emotional segment aired on Thursday. Hosts Ranvir Singh and Ed Balls were sharing the morning's main stories when the ITV breakfast programme took a touching turn.

Guest Richard, who was saved by paramedic Salena when his heart stopped during a heart attack, was reunited with her live on air for the first time since the incident.

For 25 years, Richard has sent annual letters to Salena in gratitude, but it was today that they finally met face-to-face. Ranvir remarked to Richard: "So for 25 years you've been telling her about your life and how grateful you are that she was in the back of that ambulance, she restarted your heart." Ed interjected, saying: "Since that year you've not had the chance to meet her and thank her, until now." Entering the studio, Salena shared a heartfelt hug with Richard, visibly overwhelmed by the moment.

The emotion was palpable throughout the studio as Salena recounted the life-saving day, revealing that every detail remains etched in her memory, reports the Mirror.
