In recent episodes, the true nature of Anthony came to light as Ruby finally shared that he had abused her when she was a teenager.
After finding out that Anthony was Steph's biological father, Caleb turned livid and demanded justice for his wife Ruby. After confronting Anthony in a secluded barn and using a gun to play Russian roulette, he forced his father-in-law to confess to his heinous crimes.
However, Anthony left without a bullet wound and escaped to the depot where he was hoping to meet Steph. However, little did he know that Aaron Dingle would show up instead as he took the elderly man by surprise as he said: "I think it's about time me and you had a little chat." Aaron noticed Ruby's discomfort as Anthony confronted her in the village earlier on in the week.
