Emmerdale fans were left in the cold at the end of Wednesday night's (January 22) episode after Anthony managed to escape his death sentence from Caleb.

The episode pulled off another unexpected twist as after finding out Cain slept with Ruby, Caleb shakily held the gun towards his brother as his back was turned.
