Mark Labbett, who is known as "The Beast" on The Chase, in an episode of the ITV game show, which aired last night. However, he has now apologised to stunned fans for losing his rag and putting a stop to the competition by abruptly leaving the stage altogether.The legendary game show personality appeared to veer off course after disastrously answering "Star Track" instead of "Star Trek" to one of the questions - and his performance only went downhill from there.When asked which online newspaper produces the Indy Football Podcast, the quizzer displayed more of his frustration."It doesn't matter," he snapped tersely, before admitting: "I give up."The surprised, but ecstatic, players who defeated him were then able to claim £5,250 each.Addressing them directly, he praised: "Well played guys you deserve it, I'm off."Mark could scarcely conceal his frustration as he rose from his chair and left the room, dramatically punching the wall on his way out.Bradley Walsh was forced to apologise on his behalf - and The Beast himself soon followed suit."Apologies to those of you disappointed with my behaviour tonight," he wrote in a tweet to his 152,600 followers."My mental health was shot before that game, it was storm off or break down in tears."He continued: "A remorseless diet of quality opponents didn’t help #thechase".Fortunately for Mark, the tweet attracted nearly 4,000 likes as fans came to his emotional rescue.His co-star Paul Sinha dismissed the need for remorse, reassuring him: "You should never have to apologise for the crime of 'being human'."He added: "I'd have been nowhere on those questions."Some fans had believed his dramatic on-stage antics were all part of pre-planned theatre, however, with @wilmac10 exclaiming:.
