Is Good Morning Britain live on Christmas Day, why's it on and when was it filmed?

It may be Christmas Day but Good Morning Britain will still be on to kickstart the festivities. The ITV news programme will start slightly later than normal at the time of 7am but it also won't be a normal show.

For a second year, the pre-recorded special will feature hosts Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway plus a plethora of guests.

Martin and Shirlie Kemp joined the hosting trio from their Christmas Grotto at home in their shed. Whilst Christmas is a favourite time of year for the couple and their children, this year they will also be marking the five-year anniversary of the passing of their beloved friend, George Michael.
