Inspirational 'lifeline' choir that starred in Cold Feet could now fold - despite only needing £80 a week

It was one of Cold Feet's most uplifting and emotional scenes. Filmed with Edwardian grandeur of Salford Lads Club as a backdrop, the Rhythm of Life Choir gave a soaring rendition of Oasis' 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out'.

In the storyline, Jenny, played by Fay Ripley, who was being treated for breast cancer, joined a hospital choir. The real-life choir was the idea of Macmillan cancer nurse specialist, Ros Fox, who works at The Christie, a world-renowned cancer treatment centre in Manchester.

Running for five years, it has been funded by The Christie and the Maggie Centre - a support centre for the hospital's patients.
