Steve McFadden, famed for his role as Phil Mitchell in EastEnders since 1990, has become a familiar face to viewers, yet his off-screen life remains more private.
Throughout the years, Steve's character has been pivotal in numerous major storylines, such as his tumultuous relationship with brother Grant and the memorable 'Who Shot Phil?' plot from over 20 years ago.
His recent portrayal of Phil's struggle with depression featuring psychotic symptoms has been particularly impactful. "It felt to me like this was a valid and worthwhile story to tell," Steve, 65, shared with TV Times.
He added: "I don't talk about my work very often because I believe that acting is a magical process, and I don't want to spoil it by deconstructing it too much.
