urban explorers entered the rotting shell of a 7-bed property that once belonged to a former medical officer of HMP Camp Hill and made some bizarre discoveries.The 7-bedroom property has been left to rot since the 1980s, decades before its associated Category C prison in the Isle of White, closed in 2013.
The level of decay on the outside of the home and throughout some of the rooms proves it has been disused for quite some time as the damp has seeped through every inch.
However, inside the property, the explorers behind the Abandoned UK Facebook page discovered many of the former resident's belongings.Among them were Spanish magazines that were laid out across the floor and a baby doll sitting in the doorway.Pictures remained in their frames, and while some were modern, others could be dated back to the Victorian era.One black and white photo on the ground left some people saying it reminded them of the end of The Shining film, where the camera pans to the main character Jack decades before.In another room, the wall has been painted with a huge American confederate flag - despite the property being on British soil.The flag is alarmingly considered to be symbolic of white supremacist views, Neo-Nazism, the alt-right, racially motivated violence.
