Il Divo singer Carlos Marín has died aged just 53 after being placed in an induced coma at a UK hospital. The Spanish baritone became unwell on December 7 and was rushed to Manchester Royal Hospital.
Medics placed the superstar vocalist in an induced coma, according to Manchester Evening News. It's claimed Marín, who was born in Germany but raised in Madrid, was in intensive care and intubated.
His official cause of death has not yet been revealed. It comes after a string of UK tour dates were cancelled as a result of Marín's illness.Il Divo released a statement through their official Twitter account on Sunday evening.
