Carlos Marin, one-quarter of classical crossover group Il Divo, has died in Manchester aged 53.Born in Germany but raised in Spain, he sang baritone for the group which has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.The news of his death came as the group were touring the UK in December 2021, although recently it had been postponed due to Marin's illness, despite having been out on stage earlier in the month.Announcing the news on Twitter, his bandmates Urs Bühler, Sébastien Izambard and David Miller said: “It is with heavy hearts that we are letting you know that our friend and partner, Carlos Marín, has passed away.“He will be missed by his friends, family and fans.
