Idaho College Murders Docuseries Coming to Amazon, Plus Scripted Drama in the Works

variety.comEthan Shanfeld Amazon Prime Video has ordered a docuseries about the 2022 Idaho murders, with a separate scripted series in the works.
The docuseries, from Skydance Television and Story Syndicate, will chronicle “the November 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students and the subsequent investigation, arrest, and trial of suspect Bryan Kohberger,” per a press release.
It will be based on the upcoming nonfiction book about the murders by James Patterson and Vicky Ward. Both the docuseries and scripted series stem from Patterson’s first-look deal with Skydance.
Emmy winner Liz Garbus (“I’ll Be Gone in the Dark,” “Yellowjackets”) will co-direct the docuseries with Matthew Galkin (“Murder in the Bayou,” “Kevorkian”).
