Katherine Waterston Joins Showtime Spy Drama ‘The Agency’
variety.comJoe Otterson TV Reporter Katherine Waterston is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming Paramount+ with Showtime series “The Agency,” Variety has confirmed.
Waterston will appear as a series regular alongside previously announced cast members Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere, Jeffrey Wright, and Jodie Turner-Smith.
Production is currently underway in London. The show is based on the French series “Le Bureau des Legendes.” Per the official description, the series “follows Martian (Fassbender), a covert CIA agent, ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station.
When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage.” Waterston will play Naomi, described as “the Operations Officer and ex-handler of Martian.” Waterston is known for her roles in films like “Inherent Vice,” “Alien Covenant,” “Babylon,” and the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise.
