Ice sports 'dream team' formed with plans to take charge at closure threatened Ayr Ice Rink

A new group has been set-up in a bid to take ownership of the under-threat Ayr Ice Rink, Ayrshire Live can exclusively reveal.Representatives from Ayr Bruins Junior Ice Hockey Club, Kyle Figure Skating Club and Ayr Figure Skating Club have banded together and launched a bold and ambitious move to save the rink from closure.The new group is actively seeking charitable status in order to win much-needed sources of external funding.And this could help the group finance a takeover at the popular venue, which is privately owned by Ayrshire Curlers Limited.
