Investors aiming to save Ayr Ice Rink from closure have submitted an offer to take control at the popular venue in Limekiln Road, Ayrshire Live can exclusively reveal today.We can also further reveal it’s part of a wider plan to secure an all-ice sports facility in Ayr for generations to come.One obstacle is the price tag.Andrew Kerr, managing director of Ayrshire Curlers Ltd, the rink owners, today confirmed that a figure of £500,000 is the independent valuation and they “anticipate generating a price there or thereabouts.”However, one source close to the investors says their bid is the best option for keeping ice sports alive in Ayr.The source said: “We believe our offer is fair and reasonable.

We very much hope that it is accepted.
