Bob Barker, the host of American smash hit TV show The Price is Right has tragically died at the age of 99, his representatives confirmed to TMZ on Saturday.The veteran TV host sadly died of “natural causes” at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday morning, with the star said to have passed “peacefully” at the end of a long and fulfilling life.
Bob, whose real name was Robert William Barker, was best known and loved for hosting hit CBS gameshow The Price Is Right, a show that later went on to inspire several international spin-offs around the world.
He was at the helm of the show from 1972 until 2007, with him also known for hosting Truth or Consequences from 1956 until 1975.
Bob’s sad passing comes almost 51 years to the day since he began hosting The Price Is Right, with him first taking on the role back on 4 September, 1972.
