The new series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is about to kick off, but has been dealt a new blow in the form of leeches.

According to The Sun, the camp is set to be ‘flooded’ by leeches after predicted heavy rainfall. The show is set to start on Sunday 17 November when the forecast predicts stormy weather. The storms and floods risk the possibility of leeches in the camp, along with giant earthworms, which rise out of soil to the surface when in heavy rain.

If the camp is affected, it could limit the camp’s access to the waterfall and creek as it becomes ripe for infestation. This comes after the reports of poisonous toads having invaded the camp just days before the show is set to begin.

A source told The Mirror: "As if there weren’t enough things for the campers to worry about like spiders, snakes and ticks, now it looks like they’ll have to keep an eye out for armies of these poisonous pests. They love ponds so the jungle creek and even the famous shower area will need to be monitored closely.” OK!
