Manchester United fans have been reacting to the news that Fred is a summer transfer target for Fulham. The midfielder signed off the Premier League season with a deft assist for Bruno Fernandes’ winner during Sunday’s 2-1 home win over the Cottagers.

After the game, Fulham boss Marco Silva was seen talking to Fred. The Manchester Evening News understands the 30-year-old is a target for the London club, who signed Andreas Pereira from United for £13m last summer.

The Reds are expected to fund arrivals by selling current squad members.
