The police helicopter, fire and rescue crews and paramedics were all involved in a 'huge rescue operation' in Bury in the early hours of this morning.
Photographs show a number of emergency services vehicles and personnel on Valley Mill Lane. A press photographer at the scene said a 'huge rescue operation' appeared to be taking place, centred around the River Roch.
The Police helicopter was hovering over the area for around 45 minutes, with a large fire service presence - including water teams also in attendance.
