The fire service were called to a blaze at a town centre industrial site in the early hours of this morning (September 4). Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service used six fire engines and a technical response unit to tackle the fire at Hanson Springs Ltd in Pennine Trading Estate, Rochdale.
Crews from Rochdale, Heywood, Oldham, Hollins, Chadderton, Whitefield, and Ashton were mobilised to tackle the fire at the large warehouse.
A drone was also used to put out the blaze with firefighters in attendance for around three hours. No damage could be seen from the outside of the building this morning with it dealt with 'swiftly'.
Station manager Ady Taylor said: "An incident was dealt with swiftly this morning by @manchesterfire. Crews from Rochdale, Oldham and Bury boroughs, fought a fire involving machinery in a large manufacturing plant in Rochdale.
