An air ambulance landed in south Manchester on Thursday afternoon as a woman was left injured after heavy duty equipment fell from a trailer.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene, on Anson Road (A34) shortly before 2pm. There was a heavy police presence at the scene as a cordon was erected at the busy junction with Dickenson Road.
An air ambulance also landed on Birchfields Park with a number of paramedics in attendance. The injuries the woman sustained are not thought to be life threatening, police have said.
The road closure caused heavy congestion and delays in the area, with bus routes diverted.
