A huge blaze that destroyed a historic building in Glasgow is being treated as deliberate, police have confirmed.Crews were raced to the inferno at the B-listed building on Carlton Place in the city's Gorbals at 8.05pm on Monday.
At its height, seven fire engines and two height vehicles were used to contain the flames.It took firefighters 14 hours to bring the fire under control.
Crews eventually left the scene at 10am on Tuesday after working overnight to battle the blaze. Images taken at the scene show the extent of the blaze ,which destroyed much of the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and the building's roof.
Police Scotland has since confirmed the incident is being treated as wilful. Inquiries to trace those responsible are ongoing.
