How much cash Greater Manchester schools will get to fix crumbling buildings and increase places
manchestereveningnews.co.ukSchools and colleges across the country are set to receive a share of £2.5 billion to upgrade their buildings, and create extra pupil places, the Government has announced.
It comes after unions warned that action must be taken by the Government to ensure deteriorating school buildings 'at risk of collapse' are made safe.
The money will consist of £1.8 billion investment for the 2023-24 financial year to improve the conditions of the school estate in England, the PA news agency reports.
