The fee, if the deal were to go through, would break the British transfer record currently held by Paul Pogba, who re-joined Manchester United from Juventus for £89m in 2016.
Grealish, who scored six goals and 12 assists for Villa last season in the Premier League, would make for an interesting signing for City.
The 25-year-old played the majority of the last campaign in the number 10 role and on the left-wing for Villa. However, these positions might not be where he would play under Pep Guardiola.
