Trying to understand how far you can travel for exercise is a question many people have been trying to work out since the third national lockdown began.
Two women in Derbyshire were both fined £200 by police after individually driving seven miles to a nearby beauty spot for a socially distanced walk.
Officers claimed they were not local and their takeaway teas made the outing a picnic rather than exercise. Police later withdrew the fines, with Derbyshire Police's Chief Constable saying the force had been "working hard to understand the ever-changing guidance and legislation and to communicate this to our officers in a way that makes it clear what is the right course of action to take".
