Chelsea are reportedly still interested in signing Napoli forward Dries Mertens this summer despite missing out on him in January.
The Belgian is out of contract at the end of the season and could make the move to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer. Manager Frank Lampard has impressed in his first season in charge at the club and has already confirmed the addition of Ajax star Hakim Ziyech for around £38m.
There are a number of other positions the Blues will be keen to strengthen this summer and owner Roman Abrahmovic has been urged to back Lampard with money to spend in the summer.
Kepa Arrizabalaga may have cost the club a bumper £72m but the Spaniard did fall out of favour with Lampard earlier in the season and could be offloaded.
