A mum-of-three says it’s ‘never dull’ in her family — after one of her children took her prosthetic breast to school for ‘show and tell’.
Helen Addis, 43, had her life turned upside down when she was diagnosed with triple positive grade 3 breast cancer — an aggressive form of the disease — just a week before her 40th birthday.
And, despite going through rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and having multiple surgeries, Helen is able to see the lighter side after getting the all-clear.
Her three children — Archie, 12, April, 10, and Belle, nine — have provided some priceless moments. Helen said: “Before I had reconstruction surgery on my breast, I had a prosthetic, which I would wear when I was going out.
