Hollyoaks viewers were left distraught following the death of fan favourite character Juliet Nightingale. Juliet, played by Niamh Blackshaw, was diagnosed with stage three Hodgkin Lymphoma - an uncommon form of cancer - earlier this year.
Wednesday night's episode saw the final moments of Juliet's life as she shared what would have been her vows on her wedding day with girlfriend Peri.
The devastating scenes came just over a week after fans of EastEnders were left heartbroken following the death of cancer-stricken Lola Pearce.
Lola, played by Danielle Harold, was diagnosed with an incurable brain cancer last year. After Juliet’s final scenes in Hollyoaks on Wednesday, the Channel 4 soap’s official Instagram account posted a tribute to the character.
