EastEnders favourite Jamie Borthwick has dropped a major hint that he is set to exit the soap following Lola Pearce's death storyline.
Jamie, 28, has starred on the BBC One soap for 17 years after joining as Jay Brown aged just 11, but he has now suggested his time on the show could be coming to an end.
Talking to the Daily Star, Jamie claimed "I'm leaving next year" and then hinted at what his exit storyline could be, suggesting he doesn't want to wave goodbye to Walford from the back of a taxi.
He said: "Well I can’t do any better than hers (Danielle Harold), can I? So fine, kill me off." Lola (Danielle Harold), the love of Jay's life, was killed off in a tragic brain cancer storyline that had EastEnders fans weeping as the couple tried to make memories during the final weeks of her life.
