EastEnders legend Tamzin Outhwaite loses a stone after menopause by cutting out alcohol

Eastenders star Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed that she’s shed an entire stone in weight after cutting alcohol out completely.The 52 year old star revealed that she decided to make a change during her appearance on Freze The Fear, a 2022 reality show that followed a group of celebs as they embarked in a terrifying trek across an Italian mountain range.The show, which saw Tamzin terrifyingly end up trapped under ice, saw stars including comedian Lee Mack and singer-songwriter Chelcee Grimes take on sub-zero temperatures as they took on the wild.Tamzin shared that she had given up booze after appearing on the show and realising that she had become a “lightweight” due to her time away. “It hit me I couldn’t drink like I used to and decided the best thing for me was to abstain,” the soap actress told Closer Magazine. “I took a break last year for six months, I felt amazing!” Tamzin explained that her decision to quit drinking had a couple of unexpected benefits, including an unusual craving for healthy foods.

She added that she’s “never been one to diet” and that she lost “over a stone” largely by accident.The star is no longer completely teetotal, though and admitted that she now indulges in “two drinks max” from time to time.
