EastEnders fans floored over 'iconic' twist as Rose Knight is finally revealed
ok.co.ukAfter weeks of intense secrecy surrounding the identity of George Knight’s mysterious ex-wife Rose, the truth was finally revealed to EastEnders viewers on Wednesday evening when it emerged Rose Knight was actually Cindy Beale!
Up until now, Cindy, who is also the ex-wife of long running character Ian Beale, had widely been believed to have died in childbirth while serving time in prison, but as it emerged on Wednesday, rumours of Cindy’s death had been greatly exaggerated!
The truth first came to light after Linda Carter had grown suspicious about newcomer George Knight and asked Phil Mitchell and Callum Highway to look into the identity of both George and his “missing” wife Rose.
Yet when police officer Callum checked the police database, he soon stumbled upon a large red flag, when it was revealed the file for Rose Knight was restricted.To make matters worse, Callum was later chastised by his superiors for looking into the situation, and was warned not to pursue the matter and to "forget he had ever heard" the name Rose Knight.
