Holly Willoughby is currently enjoying some time off from the This Morning sofa as she holidays in the Algarve. However, despite putting on a brave face on in Portugal inside sources have revealed she is still struggling. The recent BBC scandal involving Huw Edwards has reportedly brought back the horror she faced earlier in the year following the revelations surrounding her co-star and former friend Phillip Schofield. The two previously shared an extremely close bond and even holidayed together with each other's families. However, reports reveal that their friendship "significantly cooled" ahead of the 61-year-olds shocking confession that he had an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger colleague. And now, sources have claimed the presenter is struggling to come to terms with the huge sense of betrayal, and doesn't feel ready to make contact with the disgraced former presenter. One source told Closer: "Holly has heard via friends that Phillip is very keen to speak to her.

But it’s just too soon for Holly to do that."As she bravely returned to This Morning in June - amidst the media storm that surrounded the show - Holly proved to fans and producers that she could face the public. Her determination to retain her presenting role - which she has been in since 2009 alongside Phil - came at a massive cost as sources claimed she had been "tempted to quit".As she sat on the sofa for the first time since Phillip's shock exit, she admitted that she had been left “shaken, troubled” and “let down” by her former best friend’s actions. Now, the mum-of-three has taken a two month-holiday from the show as she spends much-needed family time with her husband and kids.
