Holly Willoughby is believed to have been offered a huge pay increase from ITV following the Phillip Schofield scandal. Phillip, 61, quit This Morning after reports surfaced about his crumbling friendship with Holly , 42, and he later severed ties with ITV completely after admitting to an affair with a much younger male colleague.

The doting mother of three, who reportedly earns a salary of approximately £700,000, will be the only main host on This Morning joined by a rotating cast of presenters.

Holly is set to return to This Morning on September 4 alongside Alison Hammond, and has reportedly signed a £1million contract.

According to a TV insider, ITV bosses are keen to revamp This Morning and have Holly as the show's 'crown jewel'. An insider told The Sun: “Holly is at the heart of the show’s future and success and ITV execs want her to steer a steady ship out of a rocky year.
