With the summer holidays continuing to roll through, parents will be looking for new ways and experiences to keep their children entertained.
And in the middle of Salford’s developing skyline, visitors will be able to travel back in time through the New Bailey. Once the largest prison in England, guests will dive into the area's past and experience the Industrial revolution through a brand new immersive and theatrical challenge.
Once home to thousands of inmates, many people in the city walk past this once infamous prison grounds of the New Bailey. Opened in 1787, the prison was named after Thomas Buttersworth Bailey who funded the project.
The prison shuttered in 1868.
