Heroic Lanarkshire store worker commended after rescuing customer suffering diabetic fit

A Lanarkshire supermarket worker has been commended for her quick-thinking in rescuing a customer from a diabetic fit. Donna McCafferty jumped to the man's aid when she spotted him slumped on the ground at Asda's self-checkouts in Hamilton.

She asked if he was feeling okay but he said he was diabetic and felt his blood sugar levels plummeting.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
