Ukrainian refugees in South Lanarkshire to be relocated to Hamilton

South Lanarkshire Council will lease former student accommodation in Hamilton to house Ukrainian refugees.Today (December 14), councillors approved proposals to utilise old student housing at 2 Barrack street as temporary accommodation for those currently living in short term, ‘welcome hub’ hotel accommodation.There are 26 accommodation units with six individual rooms in each, split over three separate blocks which will be used to accommodate up to 200 Ukrainian refugees.
