A teenage boy who was the subject of a missing person search was found dead in the middle of the night just yards from his home, an inquest has heard.Jai Palermo was just 13 when he died in January 2020 and a four-day inquest into his death commenced on Monday.
Acting senior coroner, Paul Bennett, was told by coroner’s officer Carrie Sheridan that Jai had been diagnosed with ADHD and sleeping difficulties at the age of six and had been on medication ever since.
The hearing was told that on the evening of January 22, 2020, he could not be found by his family and was subsequently reported missing, reports Wales Online.
At 2.37am the following morning, Jai’s body was found in a grassy area off New Road in Hook - about four miles from Haverfordwest in Wales - with a rope around his neck.
