The Hawaiian island of Kaua'i is launching 'resort bubbles' where quarantining holidaymakers will still be able to leave their rooms to use their resort's pool and restaurants.
Under current rules, any visitors to Hawaii must quarantine for 14 days. In fact, the Hawaiian Tourism Authority warns on its Go Hawaii website; "As this would mean that visitors would need to remain in their rooms for most or all of their vacation, travelers are strongly urged to postpone any trips to Hawaii".
The island's Mayor Derek S. K. Kawakami announced in a statement that authorities are introducing a new 'Enhanced Movement Quarantine' rule.
