Manchester City suffered defeat in their maiden Champions League final as they lost to Chelsea. City were bidding to be crowned European champions for the first time but were unable to beat Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea side, who had also previously got the better of them in the FA Cup this season.
Kai Havertz's goal late in the first half proved to be the difference between the two sides as City failed to break their opponents down.
City huffed and puffed throughout, controlling possession, but, forced to play narrow, they were unable to create many clear-cut chances, with Chelsea looking to hit them on the counter-attack.
