Hamish Linklater Signs With Gersh (EXCLUSIVE)

Katcy Stephan Actor, writer and playwright Hamish Linklater has signed with Gersh for representation. Linklater most recently co-starred in the Best Picture Oscar-nominated film “Nickel Boys,”  based on the novel that won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

Linklater also co-starred in the Oscar-winning film “The Big Short.” Additional film credits include  “42” with Chadwick Boseman, ”Ithaca” opposite Tom Hanks, Brie Larson’s “Unicorn Store” and “Lola Versus” opposite Greta Gerwig.

He will next be seen in the upcoming feature “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,” opposite Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie. In 2021, Linklater starred in Mike Flanagan’s Netflix limited series “Midnight Mass,” receiving critical acclaim and awards attention for his performance, including two Critics Choice nominations.

In his review of the series, Variety chief correspondent Daniel D’Addario called Linklater’s work as Father Paul “an exceptional performance of self-belief covering for a fundamental brokenness.” Other television credits include “The Newsroom,” “Legion,” “Fargo,” “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “The Big C” and “Tell Me Your Secrets.” Linklater wrapped a one-year series regular role on season 2 of Amazon’s ”GEN V. ” He can recently be seen in the Apple limited series, “Manhunt” in which he portrays Abraham Lincoln, the Starz limited series “Gaslit” opposite Julia Roberts and Sean Penn, and the Peacock limited series “Angelyne” alongside Emmy Rossum.
