The news comes in the wake of Wilson making her feature directorial debut, the musical, The Deb, at TIFF which garnered 80% fresh with critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Deb, which Wilson co-wrote and produced, follows two teenage girls who attend a debutante ball in a small country town. Other big movies from Wilson include Jojo Rabbit, Hustle, and Isn’t It Romantic.
With films that have totaled nearly $3 billion at the global box office, Wilson is arguably Australia’s biggest female comedy export.
