‘September 5’ Writer-Director Tim Fehlbaum Signs With Black Bear
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Black Bear‘s management arm has signed writer and director Tim Fehlbaum for representation. Fehlbaum most recently co-wrote and directed historical thriller September 5, earning him a nomination for Best Original Screenplay at this year’s Oscars.
The critical hit chronicles the Munich massacre during the 1972 Summer Olympics from the perspective of the ABC Sports television crew.
The film was also nominated for Best Motion Picture, Drama at the Golden Globes and Best Film at the Bavarian Film Awards. It won the Audience Choice Award at the Heartland Film Festival and Best Ensemble Cast at the Utah Film Critics Association Awards.
In 2021, Fehlbaum wrote and directed the sci-fi thriller Tides, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in the Berlinale Special section.
